Translation of Western Zhou bronze inscriptions that give possible insight into different cultigens of the time (millet, rice, wheat, etc.), be correlated with current paleobotanical evidence in an attempt to develop a textually informed understanding of the status of millet, rice, wheat, barley, and other staples during a time just after many major agricultural shifts had taken place in the Zhou realm.
